Whether indoors or outdoors, using natural or strobe light, a reflector is an incredibly versatile tool to have on hand.
There are several types available, including convenient folding versions, roll reflectors that require assembling aluminum pipes, and flags made of ultra-fine aluminum piping that are strictly for indoor use. The RH-100C is a holder compatible with the most popular and common folding-type reflectors.
Today, I would like to introduce the Super Reflector Holder "RH-100C," which has arrived in a market where options are surprisingly limited!
First, here is an overview of the RH-100C (bottom of the photo) and its size comparison. It uses the same carbon material as the highly popular, compact and lightweight "LS-50C" Super Light Stand (top of the photo) and shares a common design.
As you can see from the tape measure, it is extremely compact! It weighs only 340g.
Rather than the common "insert into a spigot and tighten the side screw" attachment method, the RH-100C uses the screw thread inside its spigot receiver to secure it to a light stand.
It cannot be attached while the small screw adapter is still on the LS-50C, so please remove the adapter and screw it on once it is in the large screw configuration.
It is also compatible with commercially available spigots or light stands with large screws. However, since it is designed to be compact and lightweight, it is best paired with the LS-50C, which shares the same design philosophy.
Using the head on the spigot receiver section, you can freely adjust the angle of the holder.
By loosening the screw (blue with a rubber knurled knob) at the connection point between the head and the reflector holder body, you can allow the holder to slide along the pipe and rotate freely.
The maximum size reflector it can support is 100cm. It is held in place by spring-loaded clips. Most reflectors with standard designs can be attached.
You can set it low to reflect light from below…
set it high to create a ceiling-bounce effect…
or use it as a substitute for a white wall to bounce your strobe light…
Reflectors are items that can be used in many ways.
However, a common problem is that it is often difficult for one person to set up and fix them in place properly. By utilizing this reflector holder, you should be able to achieve the setup you want without needing someone else to hold the reflector for you.
