Troubleshooting by Symptom
Power does not turn on / Pilot lamp does not turn from red to green
- Check that all batteries are inserted in the correct orientation.
- Use rechargeable batteries that were charged at the same time and are from the same brand and lot, or alkaline batteries that were opened at the same time. Rechargeable batteries that have been repeatedly charged and discharged may have variations in degradation, which can lead to abnormal operation.
- Always remove batteries after use. Failure caused by battery leakage will be a paid repair, even if within the warranty period.
Does not fire when shutter is pressed / Enters standby mode on its own
Cleaning the hot shoe contacts and the mounting foot as described in Cleaning may resolve the issue.
Incorrect light output / Too dark when firing / Malfunctions
Performing a reset may resolve the issue.
If the issue persists, please request a Mail-in Repair.

How to Clean the Hot Shoe
If the flash suddenly fails to fire, or if photos are dark despite the flash firing, the cause is often not a malfunction, but rather dirt on the hot shoe contacts.
Items needed
- Anhydrous ethanol (disinfecting alcohol is not suitable as it contains water)
- Cotton swabs (fine-tipped baby swabs are recommended)
- Paper for wiping (a clean cloth or tissue paper is also acceptable)
※If anhydrous ethanol is unavailable, you may use a neutral detergent diluted with water to about 1:10, or disinfectant alcohol. Be careful not to use too much, as moisture should not enter the internal components. We do not recommend using contact cleaners as they may damage the materials.

Cleaning the camera side
The camera's hot shoe uses not only the round terminals but also the rails on both sides as an earth (ground) connection. Clean both areas thoroughly.

Apply anhydrous ethanol to paper and wipe the terminals well, and use a cotton swab to clean the grooves of the rails on both sides.

Cleaning the flash side
Following the same procedure, clean the terminals and grooves on both sides of the flash's mounting foot.

※Be careful not to apply too much anhydrous ethanol. If you use tissue paper, blow away any residual fibers.
If cleaning does not resolve the issue, please also try a reset. If the issue remains, please request a Mail-in Repair.
