Notice of latest firmware update: "MF18 for Nikon" Ver.13-13

On December 5, 2025, Nissin Japan Ltd. released the latest firmware, Ver.13-13, for the "Digital Macro MF18 for Nikon" ring flash.

Update Details

• Improved flash exposure accuracy in TTL mode.
• Fixed an issue where the i-TTL-BL flash mode and standard TTL flash mode would not switch correctly. (Note: You cannot switch flash modes using the controls on this unit.)

Important Notes

• Please be advised that the A (Auto) and TTL modes of the MF18 cannot be used with the Nikon D7500 on firmware Ver.13-13 or the previous Ver.12-9.
  If you own an MF18 with either of these versions and intend to use it with a Nikon D7500, we will downgrade it to the compatible version (Ver.10-5). Please fill out the firmware update request form above and include a note stating "For use with D7500" when sending the unit to us.
