■ The "MG8" is a high-performance, compact, and highly portable grip strobe. By downsizing the head of the popular MG10, we have reduced its weight by 280g (from 975g to 715g, excluding batteries). It is a compact and highly portable high-performance grip strobe. ■ Equipped with a high-heat-resistant quartz flash tube. Maximum guide number of 60. Equipped with the same quartz flash tube as the MG10. Designed to withstand the heat generated by continuous full-power firing, allowing you to focus on shooting without missing shutter opportunities. The maximum guide number is 60 (at ISO 100/200mm). ■ Compatible with commercially available lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (26650 type). In addition to a battery magazine for 8 AA batteries (alkaline or NiMH rechargeable), it also includes a battery magazine that can use commercially available lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (26650 type). Charge time at full power can be shortened to 1.6 seconds. ■ All operations are performed wirelessly from the Air10s. All operations are controlled from the NAS(*1) commander Air10s, with flash mode and flash output settings communicated to the MG8 via radio. ■ Detachable magnetic slide-type zoom cover. Features external auto-zoom. Slide the magnetic zoom cover to control the beam angle automatically or manually. When the zoom cover is removed, it can be attached to commercially available clip-on strobe holders. ■ Equipped with Open Mode(*2). Supports the "Open Mode" function, which allows connection with multiple NAS commanders. Communication is possible without pairing. ■ Equipped with modeling light function. A dimmable LED light is built into the flash head. It has a maximum output of 8W and can provide approximately 4 hours of continuous lighting.(*3) ■ "Wireless Release" function that allows shutter release from the strobeWhen using this unit in combination with the Air10s and connecting the remote shutter cable included with the Air10s to the camera, pressing the shutter button on the front of the grip allows for wireless release of the camera. ■ Firmware can be easily updated by yourself. Equipped with a microSD card slot(*4). Firmware updates can be performed by the user. *1 NAS (Nissin Air System) is our company's proprietary standard. It is not compatible with other companies' radio-based wireless systems, such as Canon's. *2 Available when both the NAS commander and the strobe have the Open Mode function. *3 Varies depending on the batteries used. *4 A microSD card is not included.
