"MG80 Pro" Features
■ Equipped with a high-heat-resistant quartz tube: A clip-on "Machine Gun Strobe"
The flash head utilizes a high-heat-resistant quartz tube. It offers a maximum guide number of 60 (at ISO 100/200mm). This is a tough, clip-on flash that is highly resistant to continuous firing, allowing you to focus on shooting without missing the perfect moment.
■ Built-in radio commander function
The "MG80 Pro" includes both NAS slave and NAS commander functions. By using the "MG80 Pro" as a master, you can wirelessly trigger NAS-compatible flashes. It features a communication range of approximately 100m, control for up to 8 groups, and an Open Mode*2 that allows communication with NAS flashes without needing to pair them.
■ Recycle time of approx. 1.2 seconds using commercially available Li-ion batteries
The flash can be powered by standard lithium-ion batteries (size 14500, 4 batteries). This reduces the recycle time at full power to approximately 1.2 seconds*3. AA NiMH rechargeable batteries can also be used instead of lithium-ion batteries. (Batteries and chargers are sold separately.)
■ User-updatable firmware
Equipped with a microSD card slot for firmware updates, allowing users to easily update the firmware themselves.
■ Magnetic slide-type zoom cover
Features an external auto-zoom design. The zoom cover slides to control the beam angle in either auto or manual mode.
■ Metal Multi-Interface Shoe
The mounting foot uses a metal Multi-Interface Shoe, allowing for secure attachment even to clamp-style hot shoe holders.
■ Built-in modeling light function
A total of 8W of LED light (fixed intensity) is built into the flash head, providing approximately 2 hours*3 of continuous illumination.
*1 NAS (Nissin Air System) is our company's proprietary standard and is not compatible with radio wireless systems from other manufacturers.
*2 Available when both the NAS commander and the flash have Open Mode functionality.
*3 When in manual mode. Approximately 1.5 seconds in TTL mode. Results may vary depending on usage environment, battery performance, and degradation.
