Our flashes, commanders and receivers do not work properly even if firmware is rewritten by replacing only the mounting foot with another mount because each compatible mount has different internal circuit board.
Replacing the mount requires replacing the entire internal circuit board, which is not as beneficial to the customer as buying a new flash.
For this reason, we do not accept changes (modifications) to the mount.
In addition, the MG80 Pro and MF18 for Sony use are equipped with sturdy metal plates instead of the conventional plastic foot, but since these parts cannot be physically attached to other models, it is not possible to replace the plastic foot with a metal plate foot, even for the same Sony model.
If you want to control a NAS compatible flash via Air10s or other commander, just replace the commander with a camera compatible one and the flash can be used as is even if the mount is different. (This does not apply to the Air R.)
